Right to Erasure Request

Once you have submitted a right to erasure request, you can expect an automated response to your email address almost instantly. Processing of your request will be carried out with all due haste and should take no longer than one month from date of receipt of the following:

  • your written request (including submissions of the below form); or
  • our receipt of any further information we have asked you to provide so that we can comply with your request, whichever is later.

The information you supply will be securely transmitted to us and will be used solely for the purposes of:

  1. Identifying the personal data requested for erasure and
  2. Responding to your request.

You are not obliged to complete this form to make a request, but it is designed to make the process a lot quicker for you and for FFD.

In order to ensure we are erasing the right person's data, we require proof of identity and address. Please supply us with photocopy or scanned images (Please DO NOT send original documents) of one or both of the following:

  • Proof of Identity - e.g. passport, photo driver's licence, national identity card, birth certificate.
  • Proof of Address - Utility bill, bank statement, credit card statement (no more than 3 months old), current driver's licence.
If FFD are not satisfied by proof of identity or address respectively, we reserve the right to refuse the request.

Due to the sensitive nature of erasing personal data, GDPR Article 17(1) requires certain conditions to be met before a request may be considered. Please select below the reason for the request and send us any accompanying justifying documents.

Please Note

In certain circumstances where erasure would have adverse effect on the freedom of expression, contradict a legal obligation, act against the public interest in the areas of; public health or scientific or historical research, prohibit the establishment of a legal defence or exercise of other legal claims, FFD may not be able to erase the information you request in accordance with article 17(3) of the GDPR. You will be informed and given full reasons in such cases.

In the majority of cases, we will be fully compliant in erasing personal data requested, however, we reserve the right in accordance with Article 12(5) of the GDPR, to charge a fee or refuse the request if it is considered to be "manifestly unfounded or excessive."
